Terms of Use
These terms are an agreement between you and ForgeGames FZE (“we”, “us”) about the mobile game Awakened Rift (the “game”). By installing or playing the game you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not play. Our Privacy Policy explains what data the game uses. Contact: support@awakenedrift.com.
In short
- The game is free to play. Some offers can be bought for real money through Google Play or the App Store.
- Crystals and other game items have no money value: they cannot be exchanged for money, sold or given to another player.
- The HQ Card is a monthly subscription. It renews automatically until you cancel it in Google Play or App Store settings.
- Some paid items give random rewards. The odds and guarantees are shown in the game before you buy.
- Play fair: no cheats, bots or abuse of bugs.
1. Who can play
You must be at least 13 years old to play. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may play and make purchases only with the permission of a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms on your behalf and is responsible for your purchases. Parents can limit or block purchases in the settings of Google Play or the App Store.
2. Your account
The game creates an anonymous player account the first time you start it; no registration is needed. Your progress is linked to this account and kept on our servers. Your player number is shown in the game (Settings) — keep it, as we need it to help you.
Your account is personal. You may not sell, buy, rent, share or transfer accounts. You can delete your account at any time (how). Deletion is permanent: your progress, crystals, items and any remaining time of an active subscription are lost and are not refunded, except where the law requires otherwise. Deleting the account does not cancel a subscription — cancel it in your store settings first (see section 5).
3. Game items and currencies
The game has currencies (for example crystals, gold and steel) and items (for example Generals, gear, Portal shards, Season Seals and Mandates). Whether you earn them in the game or get them with a purchase, we give you a limited, personal, non-transferable and revocable right to use them in the game. They are not your property and have no money value. They cannot be exchanged for real money or for anything outside the game, and cannot be sold, traded, gifted or moved to another account.
The game keeps developing, so we may change, rebalance or remove items and currencies — for example, change what an item does or how much it costs in the game.
4. Purchases
Some offers can be bought for real money: packs, crystals, Mandates and the HQ Card. Payments are processed by Google Play or the App Store under their own terms; we never receive your card details. The price is the one the store shows you in your currency, including the taxes the store applies.
A purchase is delivered to the game account it was made from. Some offers are limited — by time, by the number of purchases, or to one purchase per account. Purchases stay on your account: if you reinstall the game and continue with the same account, our server restores them. If something you paid for did not arrive, write to us and include your player number.
Refunds. Purchases are final and crystals and items cannot be returned for money, except where the law of your country gives you a right to a refund. Refund requests are handled by the store you paid through (Google Play or Apple) under its rules. If a purchase is refunded or its payment is reversed, we may remove what that purchase gave you.
If you live in the EU or the UK: game content is delivered right after you buy it. By buying, you ask for it to be delivered immediately and accept that you lose your right to withdraw from the purchase once the delivery has started.
5. The HQ Card subscription
The HQ Card is a monthly subscription with three levels; each gives the benefits shown in the game while it is active.
- The first month is paid when you confirm the purchase. The subscription then renews automatically every month at the current price, and each next month is paid at renewal, until you cancel it.
- To avoid paying for the next month, cancel at least 24 hours before the current month ends.
- A reduced first-month price, if shown for a card, applies only to your first subscription; after that, the regular monthly price applies. The game shows both prices before you buy.
- How to cancel: in Google Play — Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions; on iPhone or iPad — Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Uninstalling the game or deleting your account does not cancel the subscription.
- After you cancel, the card stays active until the end of the paid month. We do not refund unused time, except where the law requires otherwise.
- You can move between the card levels in the same store settings; the store decides when the change starts and how the price is adjusted.
- If the price changes, the store tells you in advance and, where required, asks for your consent.
6. Random rewards
Some items give a random result: Portal shards summon a random General, and Season Seals spin the Season Wheel. You can earn them in the game, and some packs sold for real money contain them. The odds and the guarantees for each are shown in the game (“Odds and guarantees”) before you buy or use them. The results are decided on our servers. Where the law does not allow paid random items, such packs are not offered.
7. Fair play
You agree not to:
- use cheats, bots, modified versions of the game or any software that plays for you, gives you an advantage or interferes with the game;
- use bugs or errors to your advantage — please report them to us instead;
- attack, overload or try to get unauthorised access to our servers, or copy or reverse-engineer the game, except where the law allows it;
- buy, sell or trade accounts, items or currencies outside the game;
- use nicknames, clan names or texts that are offensive, hateful or unlawful, pretend to be someone else, or harass other players;
- use the game for anything unlawful.
If you break these terms, we may warn you, remove items or progress gained unfairly, reset your positions in the ratings, limit features, or suspend or close your account. Serious or repeated breaches can lead to a permanent ban; purchases are then not refunded, except where the law requires otherwise. If you think we made a mistake, write to us.
8. The game and changes to it
We keep developing the game and may add, change, rebalance or remove features, modes, events and content. The game needs an internet connection and may sometimes be unavailable — for example during maintenance or updates, or for reasons outside our control. To keep playing you may need to install the latest version.
We may stop running the game. If we do, we will announce it in the game in advance — where possible, at least 30 days before. When the game closes, your right to use items and currencies ends; they are not refunded, except where the law requires otherwise.
9. Our rights and your content
The game — its software, art, music, texts and names — belongs to ForgeGames FZE or its licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to install and play the game on your devices for your own non-commercial use. You are welcome to share screenshots and videos of your play, as long as you do not present them as official.
You are responsible for the nicknames, clan names and texts you create. You allow us to show them to other players in the game, and we may change or remove them if they break these terms.
10. Our responsibility
The game is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do our best to keep it running and correct, but we cannot promise that it will always be available or free of errors. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses or for lost progress caused by events outside our control, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and if you are a consumer, your mandatory rights under the law of your country are not affected.
11. Google Play and the App Store
These terms are between you and us, not Google or Apple. If you got the game from the App Store: Apple is not responsible for the game or its content and has no duty to provide maintenance or support for it; if the game does not conform to any warranty that applies, you may tell Apple, and Apple will refund the price of the game, if any; Apple is not responsible for any claims about the game, including product liability, legal compliance and intellectual property claims; and Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them. You also agree to follow the store's own terms.
12. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, where ForgeGames FZE is registered. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live and may bring a claim in its courts. If you have a problem, please write to us first — most issues can be solved quickly.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when the game gets new features or offers. The date at the top shows the current version; important changes will also be announced in the game. If you keep playing after a change, the new terms apply. If you do not agree with them, stop playing and you may delete your account.
